Midrand Hindu Dharma Sabha (MHDS)
Who We Are
Midrand Hindu Dharma Sabha (MHDS) is a
community-based Hindu religious organisation serving Midrand and surrounding
areas. We exist to promote, preserve, and practice Hindu Dharma, while creating
a welcoming spiritual home for families, youth, elders, and devotees from all
walks of life.
MHDS is focused on spiritual growth,
cultural heritage, community upliftment, and service (seva) through worship,
education, events, and outreach programmes.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to strengthen Hindu values
and traditions by:
- Providing
a space for prayer, satsang, and spiritual practice
- Hosting
religious observances, festivals, and ceremonies
- Offering
religious and cultural education for all age groups
- Supporting
the community through charity initiatives and service projects
- Encouraging
unity, respect, and a strong moral foundation rooted in Dharma
What We Do
MHDS supports the community through a range
of activities, which may include:
- Weekly
prayers, bhajans, satsang, and discourses
- Festival
celebrations such as Diwali, Navaratri, Hanuman Jayanti, Maha Shivaratri,
and more
- Special
ceremonies (where applicable) such as blessings, memorial prayers, and
other traditional observances
- Youth and
family programmes that help preserve Hindu identity and values
- Community
support initiatives including food drives, donations, and outreach
programmes
